Job summary

The Patient Transporter at Boston Medical Center South is part of the patient care team, delivering prompt, courteous service to patients, visitors and coworkers. You will transport patients within the hospital and support various departments to help create a positive, safe and patient-centered experience.

This role is scheduled for 40 hours with evenings, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, Sunday through Thursday, with weekends required. The position is full-time and eligible for benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6–12 months of customer service or hospital experience preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to lift without any limitations.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous, customer-focused service to patients, visitors and coworkers.
• Transport patients within the hospital and assist with related tasks.
• Foster collaboration among team members and between ancillary departments.
