Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Illinois is seeking a Full-time Transport Associate for the Patient Transport department. The role involves planning, directing, and coordinating the movement of patients and non-patient items across shifts to ensure safe, timely service.

Responsibilities include monitoring equipment, maintaining inventories, and dispatching calls while upholding hospital standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2-3 year related healthcare experience.
• Ability to communicate fluently in the English language.
• Ability to work well under time constraints and meet deadlines.
• Ability to learn the use of basic computer hardware and related software functions.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and controls the work of transporters and dispatchers to ensure safe, courteous, timely processing of all requests for movement of patients and non-patient items on any shift as assigned.
• Monitors equipment used by the Central Transportation Department to include proper functioning and safety, cleanliness, and employee usage. Completes and updates equipment inventories as required in ISISpro.
• Dispatches and transports patients; prioritizes dispatches.
