Job summary

Cook County Health & Hospitals System is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee operations in the In Patient Transportation department. You will ensure smooth Department of Transportation functions within your designated area, resolve daily issues, and maintain liaison with supervisory staff across departments who rely on patient transport.

• Two years of in-patient transportation experience required.
• One year of supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Makes out daily work assignments.
• Schedules lunch and break periods.
• Makes rounds daily, at least twice.
• Submits absenteeism report monthly.
• Gives report of relieving Supervisor or Dispatcher in absence of Supervisor.
• Notifies timekeepers of changes to employee timecards.
• Coordinates service with other departments.
• Confer with Dispatchers and Transporters to correct laps in performance.
• Schedule vacation and special time off.
• Submits daily/weekly administrative functions.
