Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Hospital experience preferred.
• Training: Must complete de-escalation and dementia-related training within 2 months of hire; effective communication with staff, patients, and visitors; vision adequate for safety.

Responsibilities

• Sits in patient's room providing 1:1 continuous monitoring within arm's reach.
• Notifies nurse of patient requests or changes and follows directions from the healthcare team.
• Maintains a safe, supportive environment and assists with patient comfort and safety.
