Job summary

Morrison Healthcare is hiring Part-time Patient Dining Associates at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY. You will assist patients with menu choices, assemble and deliver meals, and coordinate with care teams to meet nutritional requirements.

The role emphasizes accuracy, patient safety, and timely service. Hours are 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on a rotating schedule; prior dietary aide experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements or restrictions.
• Work with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, and cultural preferences.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals accurately and on time; retrieve trays from patient rooms as scheduled.
• Complies with regulatory agency standards, HIPAA policies and procedures.
