Job summary

Surgical Institute of Reading is seeking a full-time Patient Care Aide to join our team. The PCA assists with linens, ambulation, transport, and vital signs, contributing to a safe and efficient peri-operative environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent; CNA license is preferred and BLS is current. The role emphasizes teamwork, infection control, and high-quality patient care during the 3:00pm–11:00pm shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Inclusion of CNA license is preferred.
• Current BLS certification required or preferred.
• Demonstrates necessary clinical competency.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care including helping patients with linens, ambulation, and transport.
• Maintains clean and orderly patient care environment.
• Assists during patient examinations and procedures.
• Obtains and records vital signs and reports results.
• Supports peri-operative nursing care and infection control standards.
• Collaborates with team to ensure patient safety and comfort.
