Job summary

Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking a Laboratory Assistant for full-time, evening 8-hour shifts. You will support the pathologist and medical staff, assist with performance improvement, QA/QC, and specimen accession into the LIS and MEDITECH under the pathology manager.

Qualification requires a high school diploma or GED; preferred is 2 years of college coursework and 1 year of lab assistant experience in an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years of college coursework preferred.
• 1 year experience as a clinical lab assistant in an acute care laboratory preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the pathologist and medical staff; assist with Quality Assurance and Quality Control in the pathology department.
• Assist with collection, registration and accession of pathology specimens into the LIS and MEDITECH.
• Perform duties under the direction of the pathology manager as part of the pathology department operations.
