Job summary

Metro Legal Services in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a part-time Process Server to deliver legal documents and manage service of process with professionalism. This role requires a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to work independently during evening shifts (approximately 5:30pm–10:30pm), at least 2 shifts per week.

Mileage reimbursement offered at the federal rate. You will maintain accurate service records, comply with state regulations, and protect confidentiality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; paralegal training a plus.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Basic technology skills (GPS navigation, mobile apps, document scanning, etc.).
• Prior experience in service of process, legal services, law enforcement, or investigations preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver documents to individuals, businesses, and other entities as required by law.
• Verify recipient identity and follow proper procedures per state regulations.
• Document all service attempts with detailed records.
• Complete affidavits and reports within client expectations and submit timely reports to supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity at all times, adhering to process server industry standards and code of ethics.
• Comply with all applicable state and federal laws governing service of process.
