Job summary

Cumberland County, PA is seeking a part-time Custodian to clean and maintain county facilities and grounds. The position supports County operations with routine cleaning tasks and basic maintenance, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

The role reports to the Administrative Supervisor, with evening shifts Tue, Thu, and Fri from 3:00 pm to 10:30 pm, and offers opportunities for advancement within Facilities Management.

Qualifications

• 6-12 months working experience in custodial environment preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Janitorial duties: sweeps, mops, vacuums, scrubs or polishes floors; cleans offices and restrooms; handles trash.
• Operates cleaning equipment: vacuum cleaners, scrubber, buffing machine, etc.
• Tracks stock and prepares monthly list of cleaning items needed.
• Attends training or in-services as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
