Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools seeks a Building Services/Custodial worker at Piney Branch Elementary School. This is a part-time position (0.500 FTE) with evening hours and a 12-month schedule, paying $20.65 to $26.16 per hour based on years of service.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, basic knowledge of cleaning methods, and the ability to follow instructions. Uniforms are provided and overtime or night work may be required.

Qualifications

• Completion of the ninth grade required; high school diploma preferred.
• Experience in cleaning buildings and grounds.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate custodial equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform building cleaning, facilities and grounds work in schools and admin buildings.
• Operate custodial equipment and handle cleaning supplies safely.
• Monitor spaces for safety and report weather-related emergencies.
• Assist during inclement weather and follow SSPGS-related procedures.
