Job summary

UW Health in Madison, WI is seeking an Emergency Technician - Paramedic for part-time, 90% FTE evening/night shifts. You will provide direct patient care under supervision, support clinical staff in evaluation and treatment, and document patient status using monitoring equipment and EHRs.

Notably, a paramedic license is required, with NREMT Paramedic certification preferred; ACLS is required and PALS is a plus. Weekend rotations may be required.

Qualifications

• Current Paramedic Licensing Required.
• Current NREMT Paramedic certification Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as directed under the supervision of the RN, APP, Physician, and/or Medical Director.
• Assist clinical staff in the evaluation, treatment, and care of patients to include obtaining pertinent patient history and assisting with physical examination, performing technical procedures as delegated.
• Monitor patients and maintain records, using patient monitoring equipment and electronic health records to document patient’s status, delivery of care, and evaluation of the patient’s response to care according to the specific procedures and established protocols.
