Job summary

Atlantic Health's Morristown Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Assistant I for the PACU in the evening shift (4pm-12am). This full-time role supports physicians and nurses, helping with patient bathing, meals, transportation, and basic care while maintaining a positive, collaborative environment.

Required: High School Diploma or GED and BLS certification; CNA preferred with 1–2 years in acute care and PACU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• CNA is preferred.
• 1–2 years of acute care experience strongly preferred.
• Prior PACU experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports nursing personnel in providing direct patient care and assists patients with daily activities.
• Serves and collects food trays and provides between-meal nourishment.
• Changes bed linen, runs errands and prepares and sterilizes treatment trays and supplies.
• Transports patients within the facility for consultations, treatments, tests, or examinations.
• Measures and records patients' vital signs such as temperature or pulse and provides basic treatment.
• Ensures a safe care environment for patients and families.
• Performs continuous rounds and check-ins to meet patient and family needs.
