Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Goodyear, AZ is seeking a Packer to inspect finished products, verify weights and seals, and box items for distribution. The role supports food safety and cleanliness, with a Monday–Friday 3:00 PM–11:00 PM schedule.

The position involves learning packaging processes, assisting in sanitation duties, and training new packers while maintaining a clean, organized work area. This is a full-time evening shift opportunity at our Goodyear facility.

Qualifications

• Requires basic math and reading skills.
• Must be willing and able to stand 100% of the time.
• Requires knowledge of product quality and production processes.
• Moderate lifting (40lbs)
• Able to perform Sanitation duties weekly

Responsibilities

• Inspects packaged items and alerts Machine Operator or Shift Supervisor of any problems.
• Verifies package weight, code, dates, and price.
• Examines packages for proper seal.
• Packs product into cartons, cans, and specialty containers.
• Places carton, can or specialty container onto skid.
• Responsible for training new packers.
• Labels boxes and barrels
• Rework items.
• Cleans work areas.
• Gives breaks and lunches.
• Picks chips in processing room as needed.
• Performs Sanitation duties every Friday
