Job summary

Oakmont Senior Living in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking a Medication Technician to supervise and assist in administering medications to residents in accordance with nursing standards and company policies. You will support direct personal care, encourage resident participation in activities, and collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance as part of our care team.

The role offers an hourly pay range of $19.00 to $20.00, with eligible benefits and opportunities for career growth across Oakmont

Qualifications

• One year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
• Completion of training/certification may be required per state regulations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Clear written and verbal communication with staff, supervisors, physicians, residents, and families.
• Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests (including physical and TB tests) required.
• Health and safety measures may include vaccination and PPE as per guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with the resident, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track all medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
