Job summary

Senior Helpers of the Bluegrass is hiring an In-Home Caregiver to provide personalized non-medical care, helping clients stay safe and independent in their own homes. You will tailor care to each client’s needs and support families with compassionate service.

Evening and Overnight shifts are available, with scheduling designed to fit your lifestyle. You will work in Lexington and surrounding Kentucky communities, delivering meaningful impact daily.

Qualifications

• Passion for helping others.
• Excellent customer service and communication with clients.
• Desire to make a positive difference in the community and someone's life.
• Must be at least 20 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• US Citizenship or valid work authorization.
• Proof of TB test.
• Driver's license and valid car insurance.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to pass a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Engage in enjoyable conversations to build relationships with clients.
• Participate in clients' favorite activities and hobbies.
• Run local errands for clients.
• Prepare and serve meals for clients.
• Assist clients with daily activities such as walking, dressing, toileting, showering, etc.
• Provide transportation for clients to their appointments.
• Maintain detailed records of completed activities and provide updates on clients' physical condition and behavior.
