Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education. Preferred: Associates Degree Specify Degree(s): Surgical Technology
• Less than one year of previous job-related experience Preferred: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience
• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
• Preferred: Certified Surgical Technologist

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates basic intraoperative scrub responsibilities.
• Prepares surgical team and assists in draping; positions OR equipment and supplies.
• Prepares and operates room equipment; creates sterile area using aseptic technique.
• Performs counts per policy and follows National Patient Safety Goal guidelines.
