Job summary

Ascension is seeking an RN to lead the Operating Room team in Wichita, KS. This full-time, evening-shift role involves mentoring staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring high-quality outcomes within a collaborative OR environment.

You will be responsible for optimizing staff assignments, addressing patient concerns, and maintaining strong standards of care while participating in ongoing professional development opportunities offered by Ascension.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required in Kansas.
• ACLS or BLS certification within specified timelines.
• At least 1 year of cumulative job-specific nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive shift performance and staff development by assigning, mentoring, and evaluating nursing and support teams to foster a high-performing unit.
• Optimize daily patient assignments through active needs assessments for tailored, population-appropriate care.
• Elevate clinical outcomes by continuously assessing care quality and implementing immediate solutions.
