Job summary

CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO, is seeking a perioperative nurse to deliver comprehensive surgical patient care before, during and after procedures. You will maintain a sterile environment, monitor patient status, and coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia, and other team members to ensure safe, efficient care.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, Missouri RN license, and BLS within 90 days; a BSN is preferred. Prior nursing experience is favored.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license active in Missouri.
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and provide perioperative patient care before, during, and after surgery.
• Maintain sterile surgical environment and patient safety.
• Coordinate care with surgical team and anesthesia department.
• Educate patients pre- and post-operatively.
