Job summary

Muskegon Community College in Michigan is seeking qualified Adjunct Welding Instructors to teach courses at the main campus and extension centers in day, evening, and online formats.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 2 years of experience, or an Associate Degree in Welding or related field, or a journeyman/CWI with 2 years experience; teaching experience and instructional technology familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2 years experience OR alternative qualification with an associate degree or journeyman/CWI with 2 years experience.
• Prefer teaching experience at the college level and ability to work with diverse populations.
• Experience with instructional technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned course which may include day, night, and online courses at main campus and extension centers.
• Establish and promote an effective learning environment that maximizes documented student learning.
• Prepare, submit and maintain reports related to student learning and outcomes.
• Grade assignments timely, return feedback to students, and assign final grades by deadlines.
• Provide educational assistance to students during posted hours or by appointment.
• Encourage course feedback from students to improve success.
• Maintain professional knowledge and compliance training.
