NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island is seeking a Patient Care Technician / Senior Nursing Attendant for Medical Oncology, part-time evenings. The role supports licensed nurses, helps with patient care tasks, phlebotomy, glucose checks, and EKGs, while upholding NYU Langone Health core values.

Requires PCT program completion or CNA with EKG & Phlebotomy training and CPR/AED; 6 months hospital experience preferred. BLS/CPR certification is required on entry to the position.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a PCT program with at least 6 months hospital experience, OR CNA with EKG & Phlebotomy training and PCT certification eligible plus 6 months hospital experience.
• PCT Certification through NHA with 6 months hospital experience qualifies.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required on entry to position.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the nurse in patient care tasks and ensure safety and comfort.
• Support units' quality and performance improvement data collection.
• Assist in patient admissions, transfers, and discharges per unit operations.
• Demonstrate NYU Langone Health core values in all duties.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of patient care areas and equipment.
