Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Float Pool in the Evening shift (3:30PM–Midnight). The role is full-time and on-site at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, requiring a CN A certification and BLS.

You will support nurses, monitor vitals, assist with meals and transport, and help ensure a clean, safe environment. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of hospital CNA experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to compassionate patient

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certification from an approved Nurse Assistant training program or current enrollment in a BSN program with at least 1 clinical rotation.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor blood pressure and temperature; record readings.
• Assist with meals delivery and safe patient transport.
• Provide compassionate care under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy patient environment.
• Float to multiple units as needed (Med-Surg, Critical Care, Psychiatry, ED).
