Job summary

Montefiore Nyack Hospital in Nyack, NY is seeking a Nursing Administration leader to coordinate clinical and administrative activities for the department. This role maintains eight/twelve hour accountability and serves in the absence of a higher-ranking administrator.

The position requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, preferred Masters in Nursing, BLS certification, and ANA certification; offers evening shift, weekends and holidays, with competitive pay and opportunities for advancement

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree nursing required.
• Masters nursing preferred.
• A minimum of three years recent clinical experience with at least 2 years managerial role or equivalent leadership role.
• BLS - American Heart Association Required.
• ANA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains eight/twelve hour accountability for the coordination of clinical and administrative activities for the nursing department.
• Is administratively responsible for Montefiore Nyack Hospital operations in the absence of a higher-ranking administrator.
• Demonstrates the ability to recognize an opportunity for improvement and to collect and assess data.
• Prepares and administers the annual budget.
• Coordinates, assesses and plans patient admission, discharges and transfers with Admitting Department and nursing care units.
