Job summary

Meadville Medical Center in Meadville, PA seeks a Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse for the Transitional Care Unit. This full-time, on-site role covers evenings and nights, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality nursing care, assess patient needs, and collaborate with physicians during rounds and procedures while maintaining safety and cost-conscious practices.

Qualifications

• Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
• Current State Nursing License or licensure application.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Reports observations, changes and reactions regarding residents to the physician, manager or supervisor.
• Plans, implements and documents health teaching with resident and/or significant other.
• Assesses resident condition and nursing needs; develops and revises plan of care.
• Maintains nursing care standards within departmental guidelines.
• Assists physicians with rounds, procedures and exams; transcribes orders accurately.
• Administers medications, including IVs, per hospital policy.
