Job summary

ICON is a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation recruiting a Medical Research Associate for evening and overnight shifts in Lenexa, KS. You will support study participants, ensure safety and protocol compliance, and assist clinical teams in trial visits and dosing days.

Responsibilities include collecting data, obtaining informed consent, and witnessing procedures while maintaining high-quality study records and participant experience across a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for participant and staff interaction.
• Accurate collection, documentation and review of participant information and clinical data.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to work evening and overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for participants during clinic visits.
• Review medical histories and collect screening/enrollment data.
• Facilitate and witness informed consent processes.
• Perform protocol procedures such as vital signs, height/weight, BMI, specimen collection and phlebotomy.
• Document data and maintain study records per GCP and study protocols.
• Explain procedures and schedules to participants and address questions.
• Assist clinical teams during dosing days and participant preparation.
• Monitor participant safety and escalate concerns as needed.
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure protocol compliance.
• Participate in evening and overnight operations as required.
