Job summary

Hospice of Virginia in Richmond, VA is seeking an RN On-Call Nurse to provide after-hours clinical support to patients and families in the surrounding communities. Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 PM–8:00 AM.

You'll triage calls, assess needs, manage symptoms, and coordinate care. As part of an interdisciplinary team, you’ll collaborate with physicians and staff, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care during challenging moments.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and Virginia RN license.
• Minimum of two years of professional nursing experience.
• Current CPR certification and valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Triaging and responding to after-hours patient and family calls.
• Assessing patient needs and coordinating appropriate interventions.
• Providing symptom management and updating care plans as needed.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team for high-quality care.
• Assessing various support needs and guiding families through difficult moments.
• Providing compassionate support and maintaining clinical documentation.
