Job summary

Mentor Community Services, part of the Sevita family, seeks a Direct Support Professional to join our IDD services in Washington, PA. The role involves evening/overnight shifts with a $16.00/hour pay rate and on-demand pay options.

You will support individuals with personal care, daily living goals, and community participation, while building meaningful relationships and ensuring safety and dignity.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Six months in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Skills: Communication, adaptability, teamwork and time management.
• Vehicle: Valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with IDD to help them live well and participate in the community.
• Assist with personal hygiene and support participants with behavioral challenges or complex needs.
• Help participants with budgeting, exercise, nutrition and daily living goals.
• Develop meaningful relationships and work with supervisors to ensure participant well-being.
