Job summary

UW Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA/NA) for the Medical/Surgical unit at East Madison Hospital in Madison, WI. This 0.3 FTE Evening/Night role encompasses twelve-hour shifts (7pm–7:30am) with weekdays only, no weekends unless a holiday falls on a weekend, and on-site work.

You will support RNs with patient care, assist with activities of daily living, and perform basic nursing procedures including 12-lead ECGs, in a modern, patient-centered facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of State of Wisconsin approved Nurse Aid Training Program
• 1 year of recent Nursing Assistant experience preferred
• BLS/CPR certification within 3 months required and listed on Wisconsin Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aid Registry upon hire

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical care and basic nursing procedures and treatments in accordance with hospital policies
• Assist with activities of daily living, repositioning, transfers and patient mobility
• Perform 12 lead ECGs and engage with patients and families to support high-quality care
