KTBC FOX 7 Austin is seeking a dynamic Main Evening Anchor & Digital Powerhouse to lead premier evening newscasts and drive our 24/7 streaming presence in a fast-growing market.

We require at least 3+ years anchoring in a high-energy setting, proven digital skills, and an exceptional reel showcasing studio work and social content. Join a station committed to engaging the Central Texas audience across platforms.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of primary anchoring experience in a fast-paced market.
• Proven digital skills with a track record of growing an engaged online audience.
• Strong unscripted anchoring ability and the editorial judgment for live/breaking news.
• Mastery of video editing, CMS platforms, and live breaking-news execution.
• Standout reel showing studio work and engaging social content.

Responsibilities

• Anchor live daily newscasts and breaking coverage with credibility and energy.
• Anchor live digital newscasts without scripts, using strong news judgment.
• Create engaging video-first content for Reels, TikTok, and Shorts and push updates to FOX7Austin.com/app/OTT.
• Host live digital Q&As and engage with viewers online.
• Pitch enterprise leads, pursue bold investigative angles, mentor reporters.
