Job summary

North Star Diagnostic Imaging in Frisco, Texas seeks a compassionate MRI Technologist for a full-time, outpatient role performing high-quality MRI examinations and delivering excellent patient care.

This position offers a 3:00 PM–9:00 PM schedule, no weekends or on-call, and a pathway to train into the remote MRI scanning program based on performance. Benefits include PTO and health insurance.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of MRI anatomy, pathology, and imaging protocols.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic MRI examinations according to established protocols.
• Verify patient identity, review physician orders, and obtain appropriate patient history.
• Prepare and position patients while ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the exam.
• Educate patients about their procedure and answer questions to provide an exceptional patient experience.
• Administer contrast media when appropriate and monitor for any adverse reactions.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in the RIS/PACS and EMR systems.
• Perform daily quality control procedures and ensure MRI equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to MRI safety guidelines, infection control policies, HIPAA, OSHA, and company procedures.
• Work collaboratively with radiologists, referring providers, and fellow team members to provide outstanding patient care.
• Participate in continuing education and maintain professional competency.
• Assist with departmental workflow and other duties as assigned.
