Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures under radiologist supervision. The role requires clear patient communication using AIDET, accurate exam protocols, and strict adherence to safety and infection-control standards.

This position involves assisting with patient preparation, positioning, and documentation, while maintaining equipment and following approved policies. Sign-on bonus may apply for external candidates.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• ARRT-MR or ARMRIT MR certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or within 30 days of hire.
• Less than 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality MRI procedures according to exam protocol.
• Communicates with patients using AIDET; explains the procedure and obtains consent.
• Positions patient and equipment; ensures correct exam and patient safety.
• Adheres to infection-control and safety policies; maintains equipment and area.
• Obtains and documents patient history, shielding, and consent forms.
