LVMH Perfumes & Cosmetics is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support Material Handling Equipment (MHE) at our distribution facility. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair conveyors, scales, and related systems to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical knowledge, experience with PLCs/HMIs, and the ability to work evenings, overtime, and in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a mechanic, preferably in a Distribution Center.
• Basic knowledge of electrical motors and circuits
• High level of overall mechanical repair knowledge experience with conveyor systems preferred.
• Inventory management, data entry, and basic computer skills required.
• Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) program and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) preferred.
• Time management and problem solving skills.
• Ability to communicate with all levels, and work both independently and as a member of a team.
• Flexibility with daily task assignments and ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to follow instructions quickly and accurately.
• Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment.
• Preferred to have a forklift certification.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift regularly across an 8-hour shift.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on all on-site Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including conveyor systems, sortation systems, scales, and related equipment.
• Inspect, adjust, reset, repair, or replace mechanical components and wear parts, including belts, chains, cables, guides, bearings, wheels, rollers, and pulleys.
• Troubleshoot and maintain motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, and other electrical and mechanical components.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, AC/DC electrical motors, and motor drives.
• Clean, lubricate, and adjust equipment as needed to maintain safe and efficient operation.
• Perform preventative maintenance on facility equipment in accordance with established job plans, procedures, and manufacturer manuals.
• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems, including repairing or replacing electrical circuits and related components.
• Use appropriate diagnostic tools, including multimeters and infrared thermometers, to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Read and interpret basic electrical and electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and symbols.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, including forklifts, conveyor systems, HVAC systems, air compressors and dryers, and balers.
• Coordinate with outside contractors to support routine preventative maintenance and emergency service calls.
• Ensure contractors follow facility security requirements, company policies, and applicable safe work practices while performing work on-site.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with employees, management, and other departments across all levels of the organization.
• Provide maintenance support to other departments as needed to support overall distribution center operations.
