Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Mental Health Worker to join the Behavioral Health team at Mount Sinai Rehab Hospital in Hartford, CT. The role focuses on direct patient care, observation, data collection, and facilitating group and individual interventions to support recovery.

Responsibilities include safety checks, vital signs, timely responses to emergencies, effective communication with patients, and collaborating with the care team to maintain a supportive treatment environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in the Human Services.
• Certification: AHA CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers
• Possesses a broad practical understanding of life experiences and the ability to relate to emotionally ill individuals.
• Prior experience preferred.
• Ability to prioritize tasks. Maintain confidentiality. Good problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides individualized patient care in a safe and effective manner.
• Perform and document vital signs, ADLs, patient observations and other patient care activities.
• Responds rapidly to emergency call lights and performs safety checks.
• Communicate effectively with patient population.
• Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork.
