RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Mental Health Screener for the Evening shift in Somerville, NJ. This role supports acute care patients in the Emergency Screening department, ensuring safety and coordinating with an interdisciplinary team.

The position requires a BA/BS plus 3 years in a psychiatric setting (1 in crisis) or enrollment in a Master's program with 2 years of psychiatric experience (1 in crisis), plus a valid NJ driver’s license and BLS certification.

Formación

• BA/BS degree in related field with 3 years of psychiatric experience, 1 in crisis setting
• Enrolled in a Master's program with 2 years of psychiatric experience, 1 in crisis setting
• Must possess and maintain a valid NJ state driver’s license
• BLS through American Heart Association

Responsabilidades

• Answers phones in a professional and timely manner
• Communicates clinical information with screening psychiatrists and the care team
• Coordinates with the Screening RN on shift regarding treatment plans and dispositions
• Conducts ongoing assessments per departmental guidelines
• Documents assessments and interventions in the EMR
• Prepares and maintains accurate records prior to end of shift
• Ensures screening documents comply with Screening Law and training requirements
