Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months of general experience
• One year of education above high school with nursing-related courses
• English language proficiency per VA standards
• Grandfathering provision applicable to current VA employees in this occupation (if eligible)

Responsibilities

• Assist with mental health patient care under supervision.
• Observe and document patient behavior and report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with activities of daily living and basic nursing tasks in a mental health setting.
• Set up patient care equipment and help with care plans as directed by RNs or LPNs.
