Job summary

Clearwater at Rancharrah in Reno, NV is seeking a full-time Medication Technician to deliver and document medications to residents with compassion and accuracy.

The role requires teamwork, adherence to policies, and the ability to read care plans; evening shift available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of work experience as a Caregiver or Medication Technician.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
• Active First Aid/CPR/BLS Certification required.
• Background clearances as required by government regulations.
• Must meet health requirements, including TB.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily medications, treatments and care as assigned within scope of practice and policy.
• Observe, verify and document medication ingestion or application as directed.
• Notify supervisor if medications are not administered correctly and document reasons.
• Maintain confidential records on resident medication and care.
• Coordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy and physician, verifying dosages with physician.
• Track orders for medication changes and refills up to 24 hours in advance.
• Participate in narcotic counts at shift start and end and report discrepancies.
