Job summary

Artis Senior Living is seeking a Medication Technician for a full-time, second-shift role (2pm-10pm) with responsibilities including medication administration, resident monitoring, and coordination with nursing staff. The position requires a high school diploma; RMP certification is preferred, and CNA/Caregiver credentials are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• RMP certificate preferred.
• CNA, Caregiver, or Home Health Aide certification is preferred, but not required.
• Fulfill and maintain continuing education credits as required by State.
• Must be willing to obtain and/or maintain current First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer and record medications for residents per physician prescriptions and state/federal regulations.
• Observe and communicate changes in resident status related to medications to nurses/administration.
• Monitor medications for accountability from order to change of shift.
• Store medications safely according to policies and regulations.
• Inspect and monitor equipment and supplies to ensure resident safety; report issues to Licensed Nurse.
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, toileting, ambulation, grooming and eating; assist with transportation to dining and programs.
• May provide transportation to medical appointments with pre-approved authorization.
• Answer resident call signals and provide comfort and support.
• Respond to emergency calls and address environmental hazards promptly and safely.
• Follow community safety policies and maintain resident confidentiality at all times.
• Adhere to infection control and safety regulations at all times.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Registered Medication Partner (RMP) certificate

CNA / Caregiver / Home Health Aide certification
