Qualifications

• Requires NAACLS-accredited MLS program or related BS/BA.
• ASCP/AMT MT/MLS certification required or ASCP/AMT categorization with BS/BA.
• Alternative: associate degree in MLS with required MLT/AMT/ASCP credentials.
• All students completing NAACLS-accredited program within 6 months will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate testing and recognizes abnormal results.
• Reports results timely in writing or electronically.
• Notifies appropriate persons of results and issues.
• Performs instrument QC checks and maintenance.
• Maintains competency in lab testing and safety procedures.
• Organizes work and prioritizes tasks to complete assignments.
• Teaches procedures to competent staff and evaluates trainees.
