Job summary
Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD seeks a Medical Technologist I to perform routine and specialized procedures, review results for diagnosis, and ensure compliance with high-complexity testing standards in a busy hospital laboratory. The ideal candidate has a BS in Clinical Laboratory Technology or related field, plus satisfactory clinical rotation.
NAACLS MT program and ASCP/AMT/NCA certification are desirable; strong computer literacy is essential. Evening shift, full-time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science deg. in Clinical Laboratory Technology or related field with clinical rotation completion.
- NAACLS-accredited MT program preferred but not required.
- Diverse lab experience in Blood Banking, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Immunology or Clinical Microscopy is valued.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory methodologies, results interpretation and quality assurance.
- New graduate to 5 years clinical lab experience considered.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized procedures; review and approve clinical test results for diagnosis and treatment.
- Support Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital mission and standards.
