Job summary

Labcorp in Houston, TX seeks a Courier to join our team. The role involves pickup, transport and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies and reports, while providing excellent service to clients.

Work Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 2:00pm - 10:30pm. Candidates should be punctual, have a clean driving record, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. No education or experience required, though 2+ years in courier roles is preferred.

Qualifications

• No formal education or work experience required.
• Preferences: 2+ years courier or route-based delivery in medical or lab setting.
• Preferences: experience handling medical specimens or supporting lab operations.
• Experience using handheld devices or route optimization tools.

Responsibilities

• Load all necessary suppliers needed for the daily pickups
• Complete daily pick-up schedule in a timely manner
• Deliver all daily picks to your branch at the end of your shift
• Handle all specimens and lab samples in a safe and efficient manner
• Safely operate a company vehicle and obey all traffic laws
• Utilize handheld electronic device to manage daily picks up
• Work directly with the dispatcher for additional pick-ups as needed
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed
