Job summary

MPS is seeking a Material Handler for the Pick/Pack/Ship department on 2nd shift. This part-time role focuses on meeting production targets, packing and preparing shipments, and ensuring accuracy and safety.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and basic computer skills, with WMS training provided. The role may move between departments to support production and our customers, with duties including carton sizing, labeling, and product inspection.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, safety rules, and memos.
• Basic computer and keyboarding skills, and ability to learn WMS.

Responsibilities

• Select the correct size carton based on order.
• Place labels on cartons properly oriented for scanners.
• Pick and prepare product for shipment, ensuring correct quantity and ISBN.
• Inspect books before placing in shipping carton.
• Record adjustments for short shipments on the carton.
• Move between locations as needed to meet production demands.
• Keep work area clean and orderly; promote safety.
