Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Dallas is seeking a 2nd Shift Material Handler to support manufacturing by pulling materials, delivering inventory to production lines, and maintaining cycle counts. The role requires operating forklifts and barcode scanners, following FIFO, and ensuring safety.

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent, warehouse or manufacturing experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, inventory control, or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment preferred.
• Basic computer skills and experience using inventory management systems.
• Ability to read and understand work orders, inventory reports, and receiving documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Pull and stage materials according to production schedules.
• Deliver required components and raw materials to designated production lines in a timely manner.
• Replenish production line inventory as needed to prevent downtime.
• Unload incoming trucks safely and efficiently using material handling equipment.
• Verify incoming materials against packing slips, purchase orders, and receiving documentation.
• Put away received materials into designated inventory locations.
• Perform routine cycle counts and assist with physical inventory counts.
• Investigate and report inventory discrepancies to supervision.
• Maintain accurate inventory transactions using warehouse management systems and handheld scanners.
• Organize warehouse inventory and maintain clean, orderly storage areas.
• Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory practices where applicable.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, and other warehouse functions as required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and productivity.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company policies.
