Job summary

Harboroaks is seeking a dedicated maintenance technician for a full-time, 40-hour week with an evening schedule in Reading, PA. The role includes routine facility maintenance, preventive tasks, and minor repair work across trades to keep the building and equipment in safe, reliable condition.

Responsibilities include operating hand and power tools safely, assisting with plumbing, carpentry, and electrical tasks, and serving as back-up for on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in maintenance or facility operations required.
• Knowledge of standard practices, procedures and tools in the general building/maintenance trades preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair to facility and equipment including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and mechanical work.
• Back-up for on-call responsibilities; respond to emergencies as needed.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and complete reports as requested.
• Inspect and maintain emergency power equipment, fire alarm systems, lighting, and plumbing fixtures; document results.
