Job summary

Marvin seeks an Evening Maintenance Technician at our Kansas City, KS site. You will troubleshoot advanced production equipment, perform repairs, train others, and document maintenance activities.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, blueprints knowledge, and the ability to work with EAM systems. Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, 3+ years related experience, and forklift/aerial lift licenses.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum of three years related experience and/or training.
  • Must be able to obtain forklift and aerial lift platform licenses.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Associate’s degree in a related-technical field is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular inspections and repairs on production equipment and assist in machine repairs as well as train others in machine repairs.
  • Work efficiently with the EAM system to document repairs and PM maintenance throughout the plant.
  • Set up of new equipment; troubleshoot using specialty tools and decide on the most effective repair.
  • Perform regular inspections and light repairs on production equipment; assist in machine repairs and daily housekeeping.
  • Provide feedback to supervisors on maintenance status and email end-of-shift reports daily.
  • Perform basic machinist tasks using a vertical mill and a lathe.
  • Interpret blueprints and drawings to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Work Location: 9820 Leavenworth Rd, Kansas City, KS 66109

Job Overview:

The Evening Maintenance Technician will assume advanced tasks relating to the production machines and will troubleshoot when necessary. This position is responsible for analyzing equipment to troubleshoot problems and making any necessary repairs with minimal oversight from maintenance supervision. This individual is encouraged to develop daily goals/strategies and ensure all equipment is running effectively and efficiently.

Work Schedule:

Tuesday - Friday

  • 4:00pm - 2:00am
Highlights of your role:
  • Perform regular inspections and repairs on production equipment and assist in machine repairs as well as train others in machine repairs.
  • Work efficiently with work order system (EAM) to document repairs and PM maintenance throughout the plant.
  • Set up of new equipment; troubleshoot equipment-using specialty tools-and make decisions on most effective repair of equipment.
  • Perform regular inspections and light repairs on production equipment, assist in machine repairs, and perform daily housekeeping in work areas.
  • Provide feedback to supervisors on maintenance status, as well as email end of shift reports daily.
  • Perform basic machinist skills using a vertical mill and a lathe.
  • Interpret blueprints and part drawing to perform maintenance task.
  • Must have basic understanding of welding and fabrication.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Compensation:

Starting at $27.50/hr, based on experience + $2 shift differential
