Job summary

Marvin is seeking an Evening Maintenance Technician to diagnose and repair production machinery, ensuring optimal operation with minimal supervision. The role involves analyzing equipment, setting up new systems, and performing troubleshooting with specialty tools.

Offered on a Tue-Fri schedule from 4:00pm to 2:00am at our Kansas City, KS location, with duties including inspections, repairs, and documentation in EAM, plus basic welding/fabrication knowledge and blueprints interpretation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of three years related experience and/or training is required.
• Must obtain forklift and aerial lift platform licenses.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections and repairs on production equipment and assist in machine repairs.
• Document repairs and PM maintenance using the plant's EAM system.
• Set up new equipment and troubleshoot with specialty tools; decide on repair method.
• Conduct basic housekeeping in work areas and maintain organized work space.
• Provide feedback to supervisors on maintenance status and email shift-end reports.

Job Overview:

The Evening Maintenance Technician will assume advanced tasks relating to the production machines and will troubleshoot when necessary. This position is responsible for analyzing equipment to troubleshoot problems and making any necessary repairs with minimal oversight from maintenance supervision. This individual is encouraged to develop daily goals/strategies and ensure all equipment is running effectively and efficiently.

Tuesday - Friday

• 4:00pm - 2:00am

Highlights of your role:

• Perform regular inspections and repairs on production equipment and assist in machine repairs as well as train others in machine repairs.
• Work efficiently with work order system (EAM) to document repairs and PM maintenance throughout the plant.
• Set up of new equipment; troubleshoot equipment-using specialty tools-and make decisions on most effective repair of equipment.
• Perform regular inspections and light repairs on production equipment, assist in machine repairs, and perform daily housekeeping in work areas.
• Provide feedback to supervisors on maintenance status, as well as email end of shift reports daily.
• Perform basic machinist skills using a vertical mill and a lathe.
• Interpret blueprints and part drawing to perform maintenance task.
• Must have basic understanding of welding and fabrication.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Compensation:

Starting at $27.50/hr, based on experience + $2 shift differential
