Job summary

Mary Free Bed is seeking an evening shift Maintenance Technician to support the hospital's facilities and infrastructure. The role involves plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and HVAC/R maintenance to ensure a safe and reliable environment for patients and staff.

Responsibilities include performing preventive and corrective maintenance, reading blueprints, and collaborating with the facilities team to uphold Mary Free Bed's high standards of care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years experience in an industrial or commercial setting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturers specifications.
• Ability to requisition equipment and materials for installations and repairs.
• Basic computer skills to answer email, research on the internet and operate the building automation.

Responsibilities

• Performs plumbing and pipefitting at a level commensurate with years of experience.
• Performs general facility maintenance to maintain physical, mechanical and environmental integrity of the plant and equipment.
• Performs basic electrical services under supervision to fulfill safety and convenience needs.
• Maintains HVAC/R systems, chiller(s) and related equipment; monitors and documents performance.
• Ensures safety and compliance, proper documentation, and adherence to departmental policies.
