Job summary

Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC is seeking a maintenance technician to perform minor repairs and assist with maintenance of plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. The role supports facility operations for a major medical center.

The position requires a high school diploma with skilled trades coursework and about 2 years of related experience. Applicants will work second shift with possible weekend work and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with coursework in skilled trades or related fields.
• Two years of experience in electrical, plumbing or HVAC maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance on Medical Center plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning and refrigeration facilities and equipment.
• Assist journeyman level craftsmen in major repairs as needed.
• Follow schedules for inspections and report issues to supervisor.
