Job summary

PPG Industries in Oak Creek, Wisconsin is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for an evening shift (2:30pm-11:00pm). Starting pay is $33.40 per hour plus a $0.80 shift differential, with duties focused on keeping reactors, mills, HVAC, and facilities running efficiently.

You will follow preventive maintenance programs, complete work orders, and adhere to safety SOPs, while performing root-cause analysis and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications

• Working mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.
• Ability to work any job, and work overtime as needed.
• Ability to work in chemical manufacturing site
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day.
• Must be clean shaven to wear proper PPE.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical and electrical maintenance work focuses on repairing, constructing, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment including reactors, mills, mixing equipment, HVAC, and general facilities
• Follow plant preventative maintenance programs and complete work orders as assigned
• Adhere to all site standard operating procedures and safety standards
• Equipment root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
