Job summary

Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics in Salem, Oregon is seeking an Associate Maintenance Engineer for evening shifts. You will help maintain hospital infrastructure, perform routine and complex repairs, installations, and respond to emergencies to keep facilities running safely.

This full-time, non-exempt role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid Oregon driver’s license, and at least four years of building and equipment maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or higher may be accepted.
• Valid Oregon driver's license with Fleet Safety Program within 3 months of hire.
• Minimum of four years of building and equipment maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• With limited supervision, performs a variety of minor and complex repairs, installations, and modifications to hospital equipment and buildings.
• Completes assigned maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications and hospital standards.
• Performs watch standing activities on physical building and hospital equipment.
• Responds to and resolves emergency situations on systems and equipment.
• Maintains repair and preventative maintenance history in the electronic maintenance management system.
• Communicates maintenance requests promptly to customers, coworkers and leadership; monitors and orders facilities supplies as needed.
• Participates in department committees and decision-making activities; assists in training as requested.
• Keeps work areas clean and safe, picking up debris at work sites and surrounding areas.
