Tops in New York is hiring a Part-Time Maintenance Clerk and Night Crew for Store #520. The role focuses on keeping the sales floor clean and safe through sweeping, mopping, cleaning, and basic maintenance tasks. You will work during evening and night hours to support store operations.

The job requires basic math, reading/writing, and clear communication. You will use standard cleaning equipment and assist with sanitation policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old (18 yrs. for some functions/tasks).
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions.
• Possess basic computer skills and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding maintenance operations, safety, and sanitation.
• Ensure safe and clean floor conditions, including sweeping, mopping, and clearing all unsafe conditions.
• Maintain clean store appearance through trash disposal, cleaning chrome/mirrors/windows, displays, carpets, restrooms, and equipment per sanitation policies.
• Keep adequate cleaning/waxing supplies available.
• Maintain hand soap and towels in restrooms.
• Operate or assist with equipment as age permits (e.g., floor scrubber, baler, pallet jack, etc.).
