Job summary

The Springs Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced LVN Evening Supervisor in Cedar Park, Texas. You will oversee nursing staff on the 2pm-10pm shift, ensure high-quality resident care, and report to the nurse on duty.

This full-time role includes shift supervision, daily rounds, and adherence to nursing standards. Qualified candidates hold an LVN license in Texas, have supervisor experience in SNFs, and are proficient with EMR systems (PCC preferred).

Qualifications

• Unencumbered LVN license in Texas.
• Supervisor experience in SNF preferred.
• EMR experience required; PCC preferred.
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
• Ability to work tactfully with residents, families, staff and the public.

Responsibilities

• Follow established standards of nursing practices and implement community programs, policies, and procedures.
• Obtain report from nurse being relieved and provide report to nurse coming on duty; document information for follow-up.
• Conduct resident rounds daily and report problems to supervisor.
• Identify safety hazards and initiate corrective action.
• Identify resident problems and emergencies and initiate emergency care per physician’s orders.
• Provide supervision to direct care associates providing direct resident care.
• Observe narcotics handling and documentation processes during shifts.
• Notify physician of changes in conditions or abnormal results.
• Document daily notes on resident condition and Medicare residents.
• Ensure safety of residents and staff under supervision.
• Observe infection control procedures.
• Perform duties of a CNA when required.
• Other duties as assigned.
